The form “ChB 9m” deals with abscesses in the rectum. Small crypts are located in the anus, into which the anal glands drain. In them, invading bacteria cause inflammation and abscesses. The abscess can perforate and discharge spontaneously to the outside or into the intestine in an uncontrolled manner, accompanied by fever and pain. In almost all cases of rectal abscesses, an anal fistula exists; it must be surgically removed to achieve a definitive cure.
