The informed consent leaflet “Treatment of Bone Fractures of the Hand and/or Finger(s) (CM 4)” provides information on both non-surgical and surgical treatment of a fracture of the hand or a finger. E.g. tension band wiring, fixation with screws, external fixation device are described as options to fixate the bone fragments and are illustrated in a figure. In addition, the placement of antibiotic-impregnated delivery devices, open wound treatment, reconstruction procedures or measures to cover large defects in the bone are detailed.
