The informed consent leaflet “Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery” (ChT 6) includes exploratory endoscopy of the thoracic cavity by VATS and treatment measures, if indicated, such as biopsy, adhesiolysis, decortication, procedures on the lungs, pleurodesis, resection/removal of the thymus gland, fistulectomy, closure of a blood vessel, aortopexy, thoracic sympathectomy, vagotomy, neurinoma or neuroblastoma resection, removal of oesophageal diverticula, myotomy, procedure on the diaphragm, etc.
