PEG/PEJ (perkutane endoskopische Gastrostomie/Jejunostomie)

The leaflet “Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy/Jejunostomy (ITh 13)” describes placement of a feeding tube in the stomach (PEG), in the small intestine (PEJ) and a PEG venting tube by string “pull-through” technique (Ponsky technique) or direct gastric puncture technique (Sack-Vine technique). It also describes the extension, replacement and removal of a feeding tube in place in a patient.
